Are you a workaholic or do you thrive on working hard? The difference may mean a lot to your health, according to research by management professors at Simon Fraser University, the University of North Carolina and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Beond Nine to Five: Is Working to Excess Bad for Health?, published in the Academy of Management Discoveries, examined the link between long hours and health problems. It found that spending long hours on the job only affected the health of people who didn’t enjoy their jobs or were unable to switch off outside work.
