Many things in life can make us weak at the knees. The last most of us probably think of is age. Yet, as we grow older the risk of suffering knee pain or injuries increases, according to a study published in July in the Journal of Athletic Training. The study found former athletes who competed in soccer, wrestling and long-distance running had a higher risk of suffering knee problems later in life, but that more than 40 per cent of all people would experience painful osteoarthritis in their knee at some point.
