Probate registry

A delightful change. Probates are presently issuing with a week of lodgement. The turnaround time will be assisted by a new Registry practice of emailing requisitions to lodging parties.Online filing is still on the Supreme Court agenda for probate lodgements. A pilot program will commence during 2016.

Nsw Trustee & Guardian changes

NSWTG Fact Sheet: New operating model for NSW Trustee and Guardian: 2017 and Beyond is now available. Practitioners should note the initial charge for new estates will increase.
It is anticipated that charges will be made for wills and powers of attorney after 1 July 2016. See www.tag.nsw.gov.au/transformation.html
