Some practitioners receive regular news from the English Law Society which has been passed on to me.

While NSW practitioners are governed by local and national conduct rules as to the circumstances in which they may draw and receive benefits under a will, I think the recent English practice note gives some context to how practitioners should go about the task when a willmaker wants to make provision for the practitioner. I recommend practitioners read the practice note on Preparing a will when your client is leaving a gift for you, your family or colleagues.
