The Law Society Journal was named the Association or Member Organisation Publication of the Year at this year's Mumbrella Publish Awards.

The team won the award for the strength of the March 2023 edition, themed around Sustainability.

This issue did not just explore environmental challenges, but also provided an exploration of all areas of the profession ripe for growth and change. Features included a journey into the legal lifecycle and the challenges and triumphs practitioner face at every stage, an exploration of the jury system, and essays on the right to protest and the challenges facing the construction industry post-COVID. The issue devoted its regional report to the Hunter region, speaking with lawyers and community members who are on the frontline of the transition away from coal mining.

The judges noted the Journal excelled at delivering sharp legal content with compelling editorial and design.

The Journal took out the same prize at the Publish Awards in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

LSJ Media and the Journal were also shortlisted for Launch or Relaunch of the Year for the July 2022 print edition, ‘The Full 180’. The edition marked the return to LSJ’s former name, with four iconic editions per year. The relaunched Journal has an expanded page count and new sections including legal essays from renowned thought-leaders, comprehensive coverage from the regions and  fresh content on the arts and culture.

The next edition of the Journal, focused on safety and security within the legal profession, will hit desks in October. Explore our award winning content by visiting the Journal archives here (LawId sign in required).
