Dear Client,

While I appreciate your efforts in returning the document I sent you to sign, I do wish to point out that your level of success in actually signing said document can only be described as “mixed”. When you requested that I carefully direct you to the exact points on the document that needed your signature, I must confess I felt quite confident in the approach I took. “I have just the item for the task,” I thought as I reached for the “Sign Here” stickers.

I believed that the ostensibly, fool-proof technique of applying the stickers to all relevant points throughout your document would be ideal assistance. I even went to the effort of putting a small “x” in pencil on the line the flag was pointing to. As in “x marks the spot”; the spot for you to sign. This seemed straightforward. Clear. Unambiguous.

I was wrong.
