The Law Society Journal and the Sydney Film Festival are partnering to offer you the chance to win one double-pass to either the documentary African Moot or to the intense crime drama Bootlegger.
African Moot is a documentary covering the prestigious African Human Rights Moot Competition, where would-be lawyers contend in a mock court arguing for and against a fictional case for practice, this time focusing on the rights of refugees. Click here to watch the trailer.
Bootlegger is an intense genre-bending French-Canadian feature that explores the ongoing effects of colonialism at a northern Quebec reserve. The film follows Mani, a graduate law student who’s returned to reconnect with her local community and comes home to find a town governed by paternalism and ravaged by alcoholism.
