Art Fairs are now an invaluable tool for both emerging and established artists to showcase their work. This week, a global show comes to Sydney to open this once-elite world up to a sea of fresh eyes.

At this year’s Affordable Art Fair (Royal Randwick Racecourse, 15th to 18th June), dozens of creators will have the chance to display their work, many for the very first time. The contemporary artworks will range in price from $100 to a maximum of $10,000.

While the purchase of art has traditionally been the domain of seasoned and established collectors, this fair also provides a comfortable experience for those looking to invest in artwork for the very first time. The Affordable Fair has also operated in cities including Hong Kong, New York, Berlin, and Stockholm.

Making art affordable and something that many can aim for, is a stepping away from the stigma of art is being only for elite circles. The Fair provides that in addition to promoting the contemporary Australian and thriving art scene.

Art was once a luxury and something only attainable to an elite few: nowadays we can all access it and many have the opportunity to enjoy collecting it for their home.

The Affordable Art Fair is open from 5pm on 15 June and from 9am-5pm on the 16th to 18th of June at The Royal Randwick Racecourse. LSJ has twenty digital passes to give away to attend the fair. To enter, please email [email protected] with the subject line “Affordable Art Fair.”
