Since the Online Registry began in 2014, there has been a significant increase in the number of Court forms lodged online and after hours transactions. In 2017, 82 per cent of the total number of documents lodged were lodged online.

Online Court, originally launched to incorporate the Sydney Local Court, General Division Call-over list, is being gradually extended to other lists across NSW, removing unnecessary travelling and other costs associated with attending court to request adjournment orders or fix matters for hearing.

Background

Online Registry is an online service that allows solicitors to file court documents and manage clients’ cases. Through Online Registry solicitors can: file selected civil forms online; see information about specific cases; download case-related documents that have been filed online; and search the online case list to see when and where a case will be heard.
