Bail variations

The Criminal Law Committee contributed to a submission to Courts and Tribunal Services in relation to recording bail variations; both in terms of accuracy and the provision of the conditions to the accused. Members have raised concerns about instances where bail variations have not been recorded accurately, which has resulted in arrests for a ‘breach’, where the condition had in fact been varied.
