I am a senior lawyer in my fifth year of practice at a firm where I have worked since I was a graduate. The firm’s annual performance review period is approaching and this year I am really hoping to gain a promotion to Senior Associate. I work hard and achieve my billable hour targets but I am worried I am not being noticed because some of my peers have already gained promotion to management positions.
