Sometimes you need a bit of indulgence. Take note of these easy ways to make those favourite health offenders a bit more nutritious.

In my book, there is no place for guilt when it comes to eating. Morals don’t have a place on our dinner plate; we are not sinning by choosing to eat certain foods. I am not a fan of the term “clean eating” – does that mean some foods are dirty?

Of course, eating foods that nourish your body, help you feel sated and are in balance with your lifestyle contributes to how good you feel today and how healthy you’ll be in the future.

So what about favourite foods that you know are not the most nutritious choices? If you eat them occasionally, it’s probably no big deal.

But often there are ways to make them infinitely healthier.
