Enamoured by the size of the double bass, Lucy Zheng started playing the instrument at age 11. She tells how performing with two orchestras brings her balance.

Lucy Zheng has just completed her graduate year at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers and was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court in February.

When Zheng was in kindergarten, she knew what she wanted and was willing to work to get it. “My parents say I started asking to play the piano when I was six. I must have said it a lot, because they took notice and organised for me to learn,” she recalls.

A few years later, Zheng’s strong will shone through again.
